10/13 - From the legal team: An open records request has been submitted by legal counsel. It would be irresponsible — and a breach of public trust — for this Board to proceed with a vote before those documents are disclosed and the community has had the opportunity to review them.

10/14 - Community members and Save Decatur Schools gathered at the CSD board meeting and shared their thoughts during the comment section.
10/15 - Parents and community members attended the City of Decatur’s Public Facilities Authority meeting to outline concerns related to the financial/tax impacts of a potential school closure.
10/16 - Parents and community members attended Superintendent Dr. Gyimah Whitaker’s listening session from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Throughout the hour, participants explained their concerns about the lack of transparency by the district when deciding to contract with a consultant to evaluate closing a K-2 school, as well as a desire for the school district to better engage with community members on the issue.
